Har-Ber wins first state title in school history
The Har-Ber Wildcats won its first 7A state football championship in only its second title game appearance in school history Saturday night in Little Rock, defeating the Fort Smith Southside Rebels 27-6.
Bearden runs by Spring Hill 40-6 in battle of the Bears
After a scoreless first quarter, the Bearden defense came out of hibernation and Bearden quickly warmed up as they scored 27 straight points in the second quarter to take control of the ballgame, eventually winning 40-6 over Spring Hill.
Bearden defense controls McCrory 42-7
After putting the “Mercy Rule” on seven of their opponents during the season, the high scoring McCrory Jaguars got a taste of their own medicine Friday night when the Bearden Bears beat them by 35 points by the final score of 42 to 7.
Little Rock is Dixie Land
Fort Smith Southside has played its “Dixie” fight song all the way to the 7A state championship, as the fifth-seeded Rebels defeated the central division co-champion North Little Rock Charging Wildcats 24-23 in the 7A state semifinal.
